David at Visions Photography Club

Created by Annette 3 years ago

David was a valued member of Visions Camera club for many years.  It is clear from the following comments how fond people were of him.
As an accomplished photographer, David often entered our internal challenges and represented the club at the regional Grampian Eye competitions.
He was always happy to share his knowledge with others who were just learning and always participated fully in events even if it was just washing the floor. (see photo)

In Spring 2018 David had a foray into PhotoCrowd – on online site where photos are entered into competitions and judged by their fellow photographers. He achieved a crowd 1st place for his shot of Slain’s castle at Twilight, and an expert commendation for his shot of a Gondolier in Venice.

In January 2020 David achieved a Top Ten place in the Evening Express ‘Capture the North East’ competition.  He was rightly proud of this achievement.

Here are some of his posts:

March 2018 – Riders of the Storm
December 2019 – Sky Replacement

Comments from our members:

David was invited to join us on 7th November 2013. We had been trying to get him along a few times that year but work took him away a lot. We met David during a photography project called ‘Surfing the Don’. David was a warm and caring person who was very easy to get on with, and clearly had the photography bug common to Visions. – Gregor and Kirsty
